I am trained as a journalist (Northwestern University), and have worked some in that area, but mainly have been free-lance creative, with an emphasis on video / documentary in the past decade. I have produced many advertising jingles (some national), songs which have appeared in films, etc. I have over 400,000 YouTube views of my short videos on various topics.

Outreach/Engagement Plan(s)
I have produced several low-budget educational documentaries which have gotten wide distribution and acclaim (see http://bluecanyonvideo.com ), and which I have distributed to schools and libraries in all states, as budget allows. Additionally, on this project, I will produce a 54-minute radio version for free download and broadcast, and I will post more excerpts on the internet. I have over 400,000 YouTube views on my various videos. Requested funding includes costs of publicizing, to "media", radio stations and journalists and journalism students who are the target audience.Funders
