In 2009, JIMENA launched its Oral History Program and Website Program in order to develop a dynamic and sustainable educational and cultural resource to raise awareness of Jewish refugees from the Middle East and North Africa, and to preserve an important aspect of Jewish and Middle Eastern history.

What’s in the Heart is a documentary film that takes a life-affirming look at remarkable Native American people and their efforts to heal systemic ills that stem from centuries of social injustice and human rights violations caused by the US government onto Tribes.  The film profiles Native American people and their initiatives that are making a positive impact in the health of their communities.

"The Need to Move" focuses on a highly topical issue: The current situation of nomadic minorities in Europe. Giving a very personal and unique inside view into Irish Traveller life, this documentary reveals crucial points and discovers the real causes for existing social problems in and between two different societies.

Song of the Bird King is a 90 min documentary about two musicians who follow the almost extinct Bird King in the sky and find and meet seven disappearing tribes across the Philippine Islands. While it might be too late to reverse the environmental devastation threatening the tribes' existence, the two set up to record their oral traditions, music and dance before their existence becomes definite and irreversible.

The Terrors of Basket Weaving is a short film thriller about a woman who becomes possessed after discovering a basket near her beach home.  Based on a short story by Patricia Highsmith, author of The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Three Roma ("Gypsy") children from a small Transylvanian town participate in a project to desegregate the local school, struggling against indifference, tradition and bigotry with humor, optimism and sass. Our School is a captivating and often funny story about hope and race, and an elegy about generational prejudice and squandered opportunities.

A documentary film that takes viewers on a historic road trip through three centuries of Bolivian history.  It explores my family's involvement in the slave trade, the Chaco War, and connections with Nazi war criminals.

Listen Up! Northwest is a weekly collaborative community radio program focused on environmental, social and economic issues, creative culture and, above all, civic engagement in the Northwest. Currently aired on ten stations, it is the only regional community radio project of its kind.
