As the media undergo radical transformation, this project would produce stories that connect the dots between the too-often abstruse high-level business, technological and policy decisions made about the media and their impact on people’s lives at the ground level. The stories will serve as models of how to cover the policy, civic, technological and business aspects of the media in a more meaningful and accessible way for the average citizen. We also want to educate journalists about the necessity for them to play an active role in shaping the emerging new media system.
